Brian offers private guitar and bass guitar lessons at the Federal Way School of Music. All playing levels are welcome. The half hour lessons, once a week, are pretty intensely focused. They are designed to give the student material to work on and practice at home. The curriculum is custom tailored to each individual, as not all students progress at the same rate.

Sample Bass Lesson

These lessons here are intended to be fun and insightful, maybe even inspiring. They are not meant to be a complete form of music training and Bass developement. I want to stress my belief in the importance of a full musical education and the help and supervision of a good private instuctor.

These are a couple of arpegios that are fun and easy to sweep. They are double octive Triads. The numbers in the pictures are the fingerings. The hammer-ons and pull-offs in the underlying notations are the keys of the sweep. Remember to alternate pick on the way up, and rake on the way down. Practice these in every key following the cycle of 4ths.
